Software is only part of a raise

Most syndication platforms sell software. You still hire a securities attorney, set up escrow and pay a CPA every year. Here’s what one apartment deal costs over five years with each option.

Questions

Why is DoorRaise cheaper than software that costs less per month?

Software platforms charge for the portal, but you still pay a securities attorney, set up escrow and pay a CPA every year. Those are the biggest costs of a raise, and DoorRaise includes them.

Is software ever the better choice?

If you run many deals at once and already have a law firm, CPA and escrow agent you like, a monthly software plan spread across those deals can make sense. DoorRaise is built for sponsors raising one deal at a time from their own friends and followers.

What about startup investing platforms like AngelList?

They’re built for investing in startups. AngelList treats real estate as a non-standard add-on, Sydecar doesn’t accept it, and none of them handle a property’s loan, books or the escrow payment to a title company.

How current are these prices?

They come from each company’s website or published comparisons as of October 2026. Prices change, so check each company’s site before deciding.
