Partner questions
When do I get paid?
Your fee becomes payable 30 days after the sponsor you referred pays the setup fee for their first deal, so a refund lands first. DoorRaise pays it by bank transfer within a month after that.
Do I need a W-9?
Yes. You sign it online on your partner page. We keep your tax ID encrypted and send you a Form 1099 when the law requires.
I’m a real estate agent. How am I paid?
Most real estate licenses require referral pay to go through your brokerage, so we pay your brokerage and the W-9 is the brokerage’s.
Am I paid for investors or money raised?
No. You are paid only for referring sponsors to DoorRaise. Never for an investor, an investment, the amount raised or a deal closing. Don’t refer investors or recommend any deal.
Is there a cap?
No. You earn $500 for each sponsor you refer who pays the setup fee for their first deal.
What do I tell the sponsor?
That DoorRaise pays you $500 for the referral. A CPA also follows their own professional rules for telling clients.
How long does a referral count?
The sponsor signs up after you join, within 90 days of first opening your link, and pays the setup fee within 90 days of signing up.
