Progress against the plan you showed investors.

Occupancy, rent collected, work finished. Your actuals, one per line.

What happens before your next update.

A signature, a document, or nothing at all.

Questions

What should an investor update include?

The short version first, then what did not go to plan, what went well, the main numbers, what is next, and anything you need from investors. Report actuals against the plan you showed them, in the same terms.

How often should I send one?

Quarterly at the least, and monthly during a renovation or a hard stretch. A steady rhythm matters more than length: investors worry when updates stop.

Why put bad news first?

Investors find out anyway. Hearing it from you, early and plainly, with what you are doing about it, builds the trust that carries a deal through a hard quarter.

Does this save or send my update?

No. What you type stays in your browser, and the email opens in your own mail program. Nothing is sent through DoorRaise.

Is this legal advice?

No. Updates about an offering can be treated as communications with investors, so ask your securities attorney what to say and what to leave out, especially about projections. DoorRaise is not a law firm.

A writing aid, not legal, tax or investment advice. Ask your securities attorney what an update about an offering may say. Offers on DoorRaise are open to accredited investors only. Investing involves risk, including loss of the entire investment.
