Apartment Syndication Podcasts Worth a Listen, and What Each One Covers
Podcasts are a good way to learn how apartment syndication works before you put money into one. You hear how sponsors find deals, how they talk to investors and what goes wrong. The catch is that a podcast is an opinion, and many hosts run deals or sell courses. This post lists podcasts that appear in 2026 and older roundups and listings, says what each one covers, and gives you a test to apply to any episode.
This list is not an endorsement and it is not ranked. Each entry says who listed the show and where we found that listing, so you can check the claim yourself. Podcasts change hosts, schedules and focus, so check the most recent episodes before you subscribe.
The podcasts that come up most
| Podcast | Host | What it covers | Where it is listed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lifetime Cash Flow Through Real Estate Investing | Rod Khleif | Interviews with sponsors, lenders and property managers about multifamily investing | Feedspot's 2026 list of apartment investing podcasts; BiggerPockets' multifamily podcast roundup (2019, updated 2021) |
| Financial Freedom with Real Estate Investing (listed by BiggerPockets as Apartment Building Investing) | Michael Blank, with Garrett Lynch | Guest-driven episodes on buying and running apartment buildings | Feedspot's 2026 list; BiggerPockets' roundup |
| Best Real Estate Investing Advice Ever | Joe Fairless and Theo Hicks (as listed in 2019) | A daily real estate investing show | BiggerPockets' roundup |
| Syndication Made Easy with Vinney (Smile) Chopra | Vinney Chopra | Hospitality and commercial real estate syndications, including how to evaluate a sponsor | An Apple Podcasts listing |
| Real Estate Investing and Multifamily with Jake and Gino | Jake Stenziano and Gino Barbaro | Multifamily investing; REsimpli picks it for apartment investors and operators planning to scale | REsimpli's August 2026 guide; BiggerPockets' roundup lists their earlier show, Wheelbarrow Profits |
| Commercial Real Estate Investing From A-Z | Steffany Boldrini | Commercial real estate from the basics up | The same REsimpli guide |
| Old Capital Podcast | Paul Peebles and Michael Becker | Multifamily investing | BiggerPockets' roundup and a BiggerPockets forum thread |
Two notes on this table. First, Feedspot's list is an aggregator page that orders shows by following, engagement, ratings, reviews and listener counts, not by accuracy. Second, the BiggerPockets roundup (2019, updated 2021), the BiggerPockets forum thread and the Cash Flow Portal list are older. Shows get renamed, so read the dates before you rely on them.
Who to listen to, and what to listen for
Apartment syndication is a business where the sponsor keeps the deal running for the investors. A good episode explains how that works. Listen for these things:
- How the sponsor earns money. Fees, a promote and a preferred return are normal. A host who explains each one, with the numbers, is teaching you something real. See how sponsors get paid and what a preferred return is.
- What can go wrong. A useful episode covers a deal that missed its plan, a loan that repriced or a late capital call. If the show only talks about upside, skip it.
- Who the guest is. Ask whether the guest has a deal you can look up. The steps are in how to research a sponsor on EDGAR and BrokerCheck.
- Who pays the host. Many hosts sell syndication deals, courses or coaching. That does not make them wrong, but it means their advice can favor their own offers.
A simple test for any episode
Before you act on what you heard, answer these five questions. If you cannot answer one, do not invest on the strength of the episode.
- Does the host or guest have a deal I can check, with a sponsor name and a filing?
- Does the episode say what the investor gets paid from, and when?
- Does it name the risks, not just the target returns?
- Would the advice still make sense if the host was not selling anything?
- Did I read the offering documents, including the private placement memorandum?
For the documents, see how to read a syndication PPM. For the full checklist, see how to vet a real estate syndication.
If you are becoming a sponsor
Podcasts teach the ideas. A first deal needs a written plan, a legal structure and an offering that follows the rules. If you want that plan as steps rather than episodes, DoorRaise walks you through a first deal for your friends and followers: the LLC, the documents, escrow and the investor portal. Start with the first 90 days of a sponsor's first raise if you want the timeline.
