Multifamily Conferences in 2027: Dates, Places and Who Goes
Conferences are where apartment operators, lenders and investors meet. For a first-time sponsor, they are a way to learn the market and meet the people who run deals. For an investor, they are a way to hear from sponsors in person. This post lists the 2027 multifamily events we could confirm from each organizer's own site or a listing that matches it, with the dates, the place and who each event is for.
Dates and rates change. Each organizer can move an event, and two listings we read disagreed on one date. Check the organizer's site before you book travel.

The National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) calendar lists the 2027 Annual Meeting for January 26 to 28, and the Apartment Strategies Conference on January 26. A Multifamily Dive list describes the same outlook conference. The MBA listing gives February 7 to 10 for its 2027 convention. One MBA page says 2027 is the final year the convention is in San Diego, so check where it goes after that.
For Apartmentalize, the National Apartment Association (NAA) page gives June 15 to 17, 2027 in Denver and says registration opens in January 2027. One third-party listing shows June 17 to 19 instead. Confirm the dates with NAA before you book.
Which one fits you
- A first-time sponsor who wants to learn the operator's side should start with Apartmentalize. It is the broadest expo, with education sessions and exhibitors across the apartment industry. Its education program is announced in early 2027.
- An investor or sponsor who works with lenders will find the MBA convention useful. It is built around commercial and multifamily finance.
- A sponsor who wants the outlook for the next 16 to 18 months can use NMHC's January event. NMHC describes it as a forum on the forces that will shape apartment markets over that period.
- Anyone who is not an NMHC member can still attend the outlook event, but not the Annual Meeting.
What to do at a conference
Conferences are good for learning and meeting people. They are not a place to raise money from a crowd. Under the securities rules, the way you talk about an offering depends on which exemption it uses. Plan the trip
- Check the organizer's site for the current dates, the hotel rate and the registration deadline.
- Note that NMHC warns that the College Football Playoff National Championship is on January 25, 2027 in Las Vegas, and that travel should be booked early.
- If you are a sponsor exhibiting, check the organizer's exhibitor rules before you promise investors anything at a booth.
