How to Sign Up for Ramp as a Property Owner or Sponsor
On this page
Ramp's sign-up is a business application, not a personal one. This post lists what Ramp's support page says you need, so a property owner or syndication sponsor can have everything ready (read November 3, 2026). Ramp does not publish approval timing or an industry exclusion list, so ask Ramp support about those.
Eligibility in plain terms
| Requirement | What Ramp says |
|---|---|
| Entity | U.S. corporation, LLC or LP. Nonprofits welcome. No individuals or sole proprietors |
| Address | A physical U.S. address. PO boxes, virtual offices, registered agent and mail forwarding addresses do not qualify |
| Cash | At least $25,000 across linked U.S. business bank accounts |
| EIN | Required |
| A business email address |
What to have ready
- The LLC's EIN and formation details, including the formation date.
- Personal address and details for one corporate officer, including the last 4 digits of their SSN. If they have no SSN, a foreign passport and proof of address work instead.
- Your estimated monthly business card spend, taken from your most recent month across all business cards, or a 3 to 6 month average if it varies.
- A short description of the business, such as owning and operating rental apartments.
- Login for your business bank account. If linking fails, Ramp lets you link manually with account type, balance, routing and account numbers, and three recent statements as PDFs.
- A photo ID and selfie, if Ramp asks for identity verification.
The steps
- Go to Ramp's sign-up page with the link below and enter your business email.
- Fill in the application with the details above.
- Link your business bank account.
- Complete identity verification if asked.
Property owner or sponsor: which entity applies?
Apply with the LLC that holds the property or runs the deal, not with yourself. A new deal LLC with no cash yet will not meet the $25,000 requirement. Many deal LLCs start at Mercury and add Ramp when the balance grows. A sponsor company that already holds cash may meet it through its linked accounts. If neither fits, open Mercury first and apply to Ramp later.
Which one does DoorRaise suggest?
DoorRaise uses one simple cutoff: how much the company expects to keep on deposit. DoorRaise suggests Ramp by default. When the company will keep under $25,000 on deposit, it suggests Mercury. Both are fine, and you can choose either. A new deal LLC cannot open Ramp before closing (Ramp needs at least $25,000 in cash), so it opens Mercury first to receive the closing funds and can move to Ramp after closing. Ramp's own support page says an applicant needs at least $25,000 in cash across the U.S. business bank accounts linked to the application, which is why the line sits there. DoorRaise deal accounts follow the same suggestion: with Mercury, DoorRaise tracks payouts automatically; with Ramp, distributions go through DoorKeeping's ACH payments or a payout file you upload to Ramp.

How DoorRaise fits in
DoorRaise helps sponsors raise equity for apartment buildings from their friends and followers under Rule 506(b) or 506(c), with verified accredited investors only. Investors' purchase money goes into escrow at Enterprise Bank & Trust by wire only, and wire instructions appear once escrow is open. The deal's operating account at Mercury or Ramp is a separate account that you open for the LLC and use after closing. Fees: $1,500 to set up (non-refundable), then $5,000 a year from closing (only if the deal closes). See pricing or how it works.
